The Course |
Visiting artist Martyn Brewster will show and talk about his work in screened monoprints, and the course will continue with tutors Demeter Dykes and others to be arranged, making monoprints using screen printing and other media. This course run jointly by Poole Printmakers and Poole Painting Studio is for beginners and more experienced artists. Martyn Brewster
Martyn lives and works in Dorset, producing paintings, drawings and prints on landscape or abstract themes. He has had major retrospective exhibitions at the Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum (1997), The Royal West of England Academy (2001) and The Study Gallery Poole (2003). He has won numerous awards and has work in private, public and corporate collections worldwide.
The abstract silkscreen monoprints that Martyn has been making for over thirty years are beautifully illustrated in the book “Martyn Brewster, Prints 1975 – 2007” by Vivienne Light and Simon Olding, recently published by Canterton Press.
